ABCD STUDY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH

The University of Utah is one of 21 institutions nationwide that will recruit families to participate in the ABCD Study. ABCD Salt Lake City Research Team is affiliated with the University of Utah Department of Psychiatry. Our research group has extensive experience in studies on brain development and child health. Many of our studies use neuroimaging techniques, neuropsychological testing and clinical interviews. ABCD study participants will be recruited through both the public and private school systems in the neighboring area. Study participants and their parent or legal guardian will be asked to completed questionnaires and youth will be administered a battery of neuropsychological tests. Brain imaging will be performed at the Diagnostic Imaging Lab at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute located in research park. The Diagnostic Imaging Lab occupies an MRI suite encompassing approximately 800 square feet, off a shared patient waiting room on the hospital’s main floor. The MRI suite and adjoining assigned office space includes interview and exam rooms for meeting with research participants.
