As the Data Analysis, Informatics & Resource Center (DAIRC) for the ABCD Study, our key responsibilities include 1) establishment of a harmonized MRI acquisition protocol, compatible with all major scanner platforms; 2) centralized image processing and information extraction; 3) rigorous quality control and quantitative calibration procedures; 4) central capture, secure transfer, and storage of of data from various sources; 5) development of internal study tools to enable efficient and standardized data capture and tracking workflows and support site staff and workgroup members; 6) statistical analysis tools and procedures for the integration of longitudinal information across measures and modalities; 7) curation and release data via the NBDC Data Hub; 8) collaboration on and creation of documentation & tools to assist data users.
The ABCD DAIRC is dedicated to an open approach to scientific research, where data and analysis methods are accessible to all levels of inquiry, amateur or professional. This includes an open source/open methodology driven software development with publicly available software repositories that document ongoing data collection, data analysis, and data sharing. The published tools have been developed following the ABCD results-based accountability model and implement the best practices developed by the ABCD study.
