Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a nationally prominent research university and Oregon’s only public academic health center. It educates health professionals and scientists and provides leading-edge patient care, community service and biomedical research.
ABCD Study at OHSU
OHSU is one of 21 institutions nationwide that will recruit families to participate in the ABCD Study. ABCD-OHSU is located on the Marquam Hill campus, OHSU’s largest location in southwest Portland, Oregon. We aim to enroll and follow 550 9 to 10-year-old youth from local and surrounding community schools, with goals of increasing our understanding of multiple factors impacting child and adolescent brain development.
To find out if you are eligible to participate in the ABCD Study at OHSU, or to request information, please call (503) 418-2222 or email us at [email protected].
The Developmental Brain Imaging Lab
The Developmental Brain Imaging Lab (DBIL) is housed in the Division of Psychology within the Department of Psychiatry at OHSU. DBIL has been studying brain development in healthy and at-risk youth for several years. Studying this crucial time in development is necessary to enhance our understanding of changes in the developing brain and ways to prevent and treat such problems as substance abuse and mood disorders that emerge during adolescence.
