SRI International is a nonprofit, independent research center serving government and industry. We work on some of the world’s most important problems, collaborating across technical disciplines to spark new ideas and solutions. Our research and innovations have led to new industries and products that impact people’s lives every day—from the computer mouse and interactive computing to medical ultrasound, cancer drugs, Siri for Apple’s iPhone, and much more.
SRI International was founded as Stanford Research Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, by Stanford University in 1946. SRI became independent of the university in 1970, and our name change to SRI International in 1977 reflected our growing reach. Today, we are one of the world’s most diverse independent R&D organizations.
Our mission: World-changing solutions making people safer, healthier, and more productive.
ABCD Study at SRI International
SRI International is one of 21 institutions nationwide that will recruit families to participate in the ABCD Study. Families in the ABCD Study will complete their assessments at our Menlo Park campus with convenient access to Caltrain and Hwy 101. We have comfortable waiting rooms for parents to fill out their forms right next to their children, a small kitchen stocked with yummy snacks and a full service cafeteria serving breakfast and lunch. MRI scans will occur on campus at the GE-ASL West Brain Imaging Center, a short walk from the assessment rooms.
To find out if you are eligible to participate in the ABCD Study at SRI International, or to request information, please call (650) 687-7742 or email us at [email protected]. Click here to learn more about our Study Procedures.
