As the DAIRC for the ABCD Study, our key responsibilities include 1) establishment of a harmonized MRI acquisition protocol, compatible with all major scanner platforms; 2) central capture, secure transfer, and storage of many different types of data; 3) rigorous quality control and quantitative calibration procedures; 4) centralized image processing and information extraction; 5) statistical analysis tools and procedures for the integration of longitudinal information across measures and modalities; and 6) public sharing of data and tools.
The data analysis, informatics & resource center of ABCD is dedicated to an open approach to scientific research, where data and analysis methods are accessible to all levels of inquiry, amateur or professional. This includes an open source/open methodology driven software development with publicly available software repositories that document ongoing data collection, data analysis and data sharing. The published tools have been developed following the ABCD results-based accountability model and implement the best-practices developed by the ABCD study.
