ABCD STUDY AT ISMMS
ISMMS is one of 21 institutions nationwide that will recruit families to participate in the ABCD Study. As a collective team of investigators, we have the following aims:
ABCD Study Public Health Minute - Click here to listen to Dr. Alia-Klein's interview on Public Health Minute with Bill Latimer.
- Identify developmental trajectories of brain and behavior (e.g., cognitive, emotional, academic)
- Examine how children’s everyday experiences (e.g., physical activity, computer use, sleep) shape the development of brain and behavior
- Understand the role of genetics vs. environmental factors in developmental outcomes
- Study the onset and progression of childhood disorders (e.g., attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
