Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS)

The ISMMS is an international leader in medical and scientific training, biomedical research, and patient care. It is located in New York City borough of Manhattan in the state of New York. At the ISMMS, we are dedicated to understanding human brain development in health and disease.

ABCD STUDY AT ISMMS

ISMMS is one of 21 institutions nationwide that will recruit families to participate in the ABCD Study. As a collective team of investigators, we have the following aims:

    • Identify developmental trajectories of brain and behavior (e.g., cognitive, emotional, academic)
    • Examine how children’s everyday experiences (e.g., physical activity, computer use, sleep) shape the development of brain and behavior
    • Understand the role of genetics vs. environmental factors in developmental outcomes
    • Study the onset and progression of childhood disorders (e.g., attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)

To find out if you are eligible to participate in the ABCD Study at the ISMMS, or to request information, please call (844) 422-2301 or email us at abcd@mssm.edu. Click here to learn more about our study procedures.
