Michael Neale, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Neale is Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Human & Molecular Genetics at Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of London in 1985. His research interests include statistical modeling, behavioral genetics, neuro-imaging genetics, substance abuse, and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Neale is originally from England and grew up near the river Thames in Maidenhead. He now lives in Richmond, VA, and when not working on his research he enjoys skiing, running, driving, and is a fan of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
