Pamela Madden, Ph.D.

Dr. Pamela Madden is Professor of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Madden received her Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis to increase her knowledge of Behavior Genetics, Human Addiction, and the conduct of large, family-based, epidemiological studies. Her research has mostly focused on twin and family studies involving youths and adults over 20 years old, especially in relation to nicotine addiction, behavioral correlates, and environmental correlates. Prior to receiving her doctorate, Dr. Madden worked as a research assistant at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA, and in the Clinical Research Branch at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, MD, as a research psychologist. She lives in St. Louis, MO. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, and learning piano.
