Susan Bookheimer, Ph.D.

Dr. Susan Bookheimer is the Joaquin Fuster Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. Dr. Bookheimer holds a joint appointment in the clinical and cognitive neurosciences divisions in the Department of Psychology at UCLA. Her research and teaching interests include functional brain imaging in autism, Alzheimer’s Disease, brain tumors, and epilepsy. She received her Ph.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine in the area of Cognitive Psychology. She enjoys horseback riding, cooking, and karaoke. To the members of her lab, she is known for always having chocolate and tea available in her office.
