JEDI Advisory Council

Overview: The mission of the ABCD JEDI Advisory Council (AC) is to effect change that ensures and promotes justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) at all levels of ABCD. The JEDI AC leads and coordinates JEDI initiatives and advises the JEDI Associate Director and other members of the Consortium to advance and evaluate JEDI priorities. The JEDI AC strives for inclusive and equitable membership, and aims to provide a safe space for members to discuss and make recommendations in service of JEDI, addressing both initiatives and challenges as they arise in ABCD.

Advisory Council Membership: The JEDI AC is composed of 15 individuals including ABCD consortium members across all levels of seniority, NIH representatives, JEDI Workgroup leaders, and the JEDI Associate Director. Beginning in 2024, terms will be two years in duration, with the option to serve multiple terms. New and returning AC members will be invited to apply for membership by outlining their contributions and commitments to JEDI efforts in ABCD, at their institution, or in other organizations. Applications for Advisory Council Membership will be accepted annually. The JEDI Associate Director will lead the application review process and oversee final selections.
